A murder warrant has been issued for the man police say shot and killed another in a dispute outside a Reno nightclub last weekend.

Arturo Bolanos, 25, is wanted on suspicion of felony murder with the use of a deadly weapon and three counts of attempted murder.

According to the Reno Police Department, Bolanos is suspected of killing Macario Ortiz Jr., 28, of Carson City and injuring three others following a dispute inside a bar in the Freight House district in downtown Reno on Sunday.

When the two groups of alleged rival gang members went to a parking garage on Second Street to retrieve their vehicles, Bolanos opened fire on the SUV Ortiz was riding in.

Ortiz, a father of two, was pronounced dead at a Reno hospital. The three others in the SUV were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Late Thursday, Washoe County's police helicopter buzzed the Northridge subdivision and roads were blocked off in the northeast Carson City neighborhood for more than an hour beginning at 10:30 p.m. after Reno investigators received a tip that Bolanos was in the area.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office's SWAT team was called out but not used, said Sheriff Ken Furlong.

Lt. Mo Rafaqat said investigators also want to speak with the driver of a white or light-colored sedan with a dark hood and a black or dark stripe running down the mid-line of the sides of the car.

The vehicle was captured by surveillance cameras in the area at the time of the shooting.

Rafaqat said investigators also want to speak with a person who left information on the Secret Witness hotline Tuesday.

Secret Witness received a report from a person who claimed to have knowledge about the location of evidence. However, the subject did not leave any information about how to contact them, said Rafaqat. That person is asked to contact Secret Witness or investigators with their contact information. A reward of $100 is being offered for the evidence or information that leads to its immediate recovery.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Reno Police Department's Robbery/Homicide Unit at (775) 334-2188 during regular business hours or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900, anytime.

A $2,500 reward is offered by Secret Witness for the arrest and conviction of the shooter.
