Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• Carsen Gene Hadley, 27, of Carson City, was arrested at 3:04 a.m. Monday at Roop Street and Retail Way on suspicion of gross misdemeanor battery on a peace officer, misdemeanor obstructing. resisting a public officer and drunken pedestrian. Bail was set at $3,589.
• William Sharp, 32, of Carson City, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. Monday at Adams and Carson streets on suspicion of gross misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000.
• Anthony M. Guastella, 26, of Carson City, was arrested at 10:52 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony burglary and possession of stolen property. Bail was set at $25,000.
• Jessica Vanderdoes, 20, a transient, was arrested at 10:36 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony failure to appear and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. No bail was set.
• Katie Colorado, 21, a daycare worker from Carson City, was arrested at 10:58 a.m. Saturday at 10th and Nevada streets on suspicion of gross misdemeanor second-offense drunken driving, misdemeanor speeding, driving without insurance, petty larceny and having an open container of alcohol in vehicle. Bail was set at $3,873.
• David Bernard Solus, 40, a transient from Carson City, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. Friday on Adaline Street on a felony Sacramento warrant. No bail was set.
• Jessica Elizabeth Adair, 34, a student from Carson City, was arrested at 6 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony child abuse. She allegedly smacked her 6-year-old stepson in the face, causing his mouth to bleed, and pulled the boy from his bed by his leg, causing bruising to his head and face. Bail was set at $25,000.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
• 4:28 a.m. - Report of a mailbox in the 4300 block of Apollo Drive damaged.
• 9:19 a.m. - Accident at North Stewart and William streets.
• 11:33 a.m. - Man cited for shoplifting at Walmart.
• 12:26 p.m.- Bicycle stolen from Carson High.
• 4:03 p.m. - Faded blue four-door Jetta missing from North Carson Street parking lot.
• 6:53 p.m. - A caller reported a man was standing in his doorway with his pants down and his penis exposed. When he went to confront the naked stranger in a neighboring apartment, he found the door open and the man sitting on the couch with his pants still around his ankles and penis exposed. The man then left the apartment and drove away in a silver Nissan Xterra. When police contacted the tenant of the apartment the man was in, the tenant said he met the stranger at a tax office three days earlier and the guy asked to hang out. Once the stranger became drunk, he pulled his penis out and the tenant left the complex.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
• 7:55 a.m. - Man reported he had a bomb in his trailer on Almond Drive in Silver Springs. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Central Lyon County Fire Department and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team from Fallon Naval Air Station responded. Surrounding homes were evacuated. The EOD Team searched the residence and located several live blasting caps inside the residence, but confirmed they were not attached to any other type of explosive device. The blasting caps were disposed of in a controlled detonation.
• 12:40 p.m. - An elderly woman with large gash on her arm reported she and her husband had an argument and the dog bit her in the 10000 block of Highway 50 Alternate in Silver Springs.
Storey County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
• 8:57 p.m. - A woman reported she was in the residence next door to her business the Comstock Creamery when she heard noises inside the closed shop. When she and her husband investigated they found two men inside in the cash register. As her husband held them down, she called police. Cody Wood, 20, and James Burns, 19, both of the Virginia City area, were jailed on suspicion of burglary and theft. Bail for each was set at $25,000.
