Jesus taught, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
One invests freely in the object of his love. He gladly invests time, talent and treasure. The more he invests the more his love grows. Where his treasure is, there his heart will be also.
Have you ever wondered where God's treasure is? His treasure is where His heart is and His heart is with people - all people. "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son..." (John 3:16).
Our Lord's love for the lost can be seen in His parables (Luke 15). Christ's love for sinners and enemies can be seen in His sacrificial death on their behalf (Romans 5:8-10).
He laid down His life for His friends too (John 15:13). He "bought with His own blood" (Acts 20:28) the church of God. Jesus values the church like a hidden treasure or pearl of great value (Matthew 13:44-46).
He gave His all for the church, the apple of His eye.
Jesus does love you. He died for your sins (I Corinthians 15:13). His love is unconditional and beyond doubt. His grace is undeserved.
He calls you to follow Him. Will you trust Him? Will you follow Him? You are His treasure. May He be your treasure and may your heart beat always for Him.
