With his family at his side, Morgan Heath Webber, 79, lost a valiant fight against lung cancer, passing away at his Dayton home on August 26.
Although Morgan didn't move to Dayton until his retirement in 2003, his love of the Old West, Dayton's history, photography, railroading, wild horses, barbershop quartet, and people kept him on the go.
Born in Scranton, PA in 1932, Morgan moved to Southern California in 1957 to work at Rohr Aircraft Company, later becoming a general contractor, building numerous custom homes in the area. His children remember him being "playful, industrious, resourceful and very dedicated to his family and friends."
Morgan's wife of 40 years, Dagmar, his family and the Historical Society of Dayton Valley invites friends to celebrate his life at an old-fashioned potluck barbecue being held September 10, 2011 at 2:00p.m. at 240 Bullion Rd., Dayton. Call for details 775-246-3256.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Historical Society of Dayton Valley.
