Obituary: Walter J. Lyons

Walter J. Lyons passed away September 14, 2011 in the arms of his loving wife Dreme V. Lyons and his dear friend Maxine E. Hurst.

Walt is survived by his brother Philip Baehrle (Pat); sons, Walter Lyons, Jr. (Susan), Shawn Lyons (Kiyomi); daughter Laura Lyons; stepdaughters Christine Andrews (Robert), Tracey Burrows (Steven); grandchildren Josh Helsel, Kelly Helsel, Larisa Love, Michael Love, Tahnee Lyons, Vance Lyons, Logan Lyons, Peyton Lyons, Victoria Lyons; step-grandchildren Patricia Andrews, Morgan Andrews, Jacob Burrows and Adam Burrows; great-grandson Josiah Helsel.

He was preceded in death by his sister Dot Altaus and daughter Colleen Helsel. Walter will be greatly missed by his special little friends Mikey, Molly, Mitzi and Maxi.

Walt came to Dayton, Nevada with is wife Dreme after spending many years in Rancho Cordova, CA. Walt was in the Marine Corps (Recon 1) during the Korean War. He drove trucks for P.I.E. and Consolidated Freightways for most of his adult life. He loved nothing more than taking his little friends for rides around the neighborhood and chatting with everyone. Walt put great value on friendships he made. He will be loved and missed by everyone for a long time to come.
