Marc Pitchford has been named executive director of the division of atmospheric sciences at Desert Research Institute.
Pitchford, who will begin work at DRI, currently is a research scientist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Air Resources Laboratory in the Special Operations and Research Division in Las Vegas.
He earned both his master's and doctoral degrees from University of Nevada, Reno.
