Entrepreneurs Assembly, a northern Nevada nonprofit that provides support to startups and small business owners, said last week it's widening its membership.
The assembly was created a year ago by StartUp & Growth Strategies Inc., a Reno-based nonprofit, as a way for to support entrepreneurs who had completed workshops sponsored by Startup & Growth Strategies.
Now it's opened its doors to membership from other entrepreneurs, potential entrepreneurs and owners of small businesses, said Executive Director John Moran.
He said the group provides a structured approach, including monthly and weekly accountability, to the creation of new companies.
"The Assembly provides feedback from peers and experienced entrepreneurs while holding members accountable in moving forward with their business projects," he said.
Moran said members of the group also share their experiences, make business connections and become involved in educational programs.
Membership costs $45 a month, $90 a quarter or $300 a year.
StartUp & Growth Strategies, founded by veteran entrepreneurs Matt Westfield and Rod Hosilyk, says about 30 new businesses have been created within the past year and are in some stage of development as the result of its workshops.
