Born in Rodeo, CA., Dinah graduated in mathematics from San Francisco University. As a young professional, Dinah worked at the Naval Radiological Defense Lab and the University of Wisconsin (Madison) as a computer programer and analyst. For much of her later career she was employed by Del Monte Foods and Electronic Data Systems as a manager of computer systems. Upon retirement at age 57, she moved to Carson City, where she embraced new challenges as a social and political activist.
Dinah was a leader in the Carson City Democrats and served as a representative to the Nevada State Democratic Party. She also participated in the Nevada Women's Lobby and the Democratic Women of Washoe County and the American Association of University Women, both at the local and national levels.
Dinah Jordan is survived by her loving husband, William Paul Jordan, her two children, Deborah Marie Eernisse and Douglas Zeeck Jordan, and her brothers David,
Dennis and Daniel, and four grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be from 4-6pm on Saturday, October 1, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Nevada, 780 Del Monte Lane, Reno. Come share
