Magellan Gold Corp. of Reno said last week that the Bureau of Land Management rejected an application from the company to explore claims near Sand Springs in Churchill County.
The federal agency said the claims aren't accessible because of a nearby state highway right-of-way and material sites. Magellan leases the claims from RS Gold LLC.
