Larrimore promoted at NRHA

Nicole Larrimore has been named as the new mortgage and marketing coordinator for the Nevada Rural Housing Authority.

The position provides information about the NRHA's housing assistance programs to mortgage lenders, banks, Realtors, brokers, insurance companies and home buyers.

Larrimore has been with NRHA for more than two years and most recently served as the NRHA's home-at-last program compliance specialist. Her education is in business administration and media communication with experience in accounting and outreach programs.

Retail expert to speak in Carson Valley on Sept. 13

Author, speaker and small business expert Barbara Wold will present two seminars at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sept. 13 at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden. The sessions will focus on "How to Profit from Wal-Mart's Arrival."

The seminars are sponsored by the Douglas County Economic Vitality Program, City National Bank, Main Street Gardnerville and the Business Council of Douglas County.
