The number of companies nominated in the annual Best Places to Work competition in northern Nevada this year is running well ahead of its level last year.
Ninety companies have been nominated with less than a week remaining before the Feb. 10 nomination deadline.
A year ago, 39 companies were finalists in the competition. Not all nominated companies complete the screening process to become finalists.
Managers and employees can nominate their own companies, and participation is free. Nomination forms are at www.quantumworkplace.com/nomination/reno/.
After nominations close, Quantum Workplace will conduct surveys of employees at participating companies from mid-February through mid-March.
The awards are based entirely on the results of the survey.
Winners will be recognized at an event on April 26.
