Juan Mercado, 57, a Carson City resident, passed away at Carson Tahoe Healthcare on January 6, 2012. He was born January 22, 1954 in Woodland, CA to Jose S. and Catalina (Gomez) Mercado.
He had lived in Carson City, NV since 1990. He enjoyed NASCAR, was a carpenter, and he worked in the construction field. He was a beloved brother, and he will be greatly missed.
Juan is preceded in death by father, Jose S. Mercado; brother, Jose S. Mercado, Jr.; sister-in-law, Yolanda Mercado; sister, Sandra Mercado and niece Jennifer O'Neill. He is survived by mother, Catalina Mercado of New Mexico;, daughters, April and Cathy Potter of Sacramento, CA; sister and brother-in-law, John and Maria O'Neill of Carson City, NV; niece and husband, Jason and Patricia Howarth of Sparks, NV; sister and brother-in-law, Mac and Mary Hopper of Sacramento, CA; sisters, Teresa Rodriguez of Sacramento, CA, Guadalupe Mercado of AZ, Mercedes Sykes of AR, and Catalina G. Mercado of New Mexico; brother, Xavier Mercado of Hanford, CA, brother and sister-in-law David and Colleen Mercado of Sacramento, CA; numerous nieces and nephews.
