Prison bomb threat was a false alarm

Carson Sheriff's deputies and prison officials are saying a bomb threat received Friday morning at Northern Nevada Correctional Center was a false alarm.

The prison at Carson City's southern border received a letter this morning saying there is a pipe bomb on the prison grounds "near the ranch."

Investigators searched the area but didn't find anything.
