Dan Tuck has been named general manager and vice president of component operations at Zephyr Photonics and Daniel Zhu has been named vice president of engineering for the Zephyr Cove company.
Tuck, who most recently worked as chief operating officer and vice president of engineering for Datastrip Inc., also has held executive positions with Microphase Corp., Paragon Networks, IPC Information Systems/Ixnet, Ascom Nexion/Ascom Timeplex and Teleos Communications.
He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Texas and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Princeton.
Zhu most recently worked as director of engineering for Emcore Corp. He also has held engineering management and technical lead roles at Intel Corp., Infinera, Mahi Networks and Ciena Corp.
He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in physics at Zhongshan University in Guangzhou, China and a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California.
