David passed away at home on July 18, 2012, at the age of 87. He was born in Joseph, Idaho. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Keener of Dayton, Nev.; sister, Joyce Cox in Libby, Mont.; Cindy Bright of Las Vegas, Nev.; and his grandson, Taylor Bright of Reno, Nev. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Danny, Donald and Jerry Barr, all of Reno, Nev., and Deanna Talley Hinshaw of Victorville, Calif.
David has been in Nevada since 1960. He was in World War II and the Korean War. He was a charter member of the Sparks Elks Club as well as a member of the Moose Lodge in Fernley, Nev.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11am at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. FitzHenry's Funeral Home & Crematory is caring for arrangements.
