Amy J. Khan, M.D. has joined Saint Mary's Health Plans as its chief medical officer.
Khan is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Mich. and holds a master's degree in public health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. Her post-graduate training includes an internal medicine internship and residency at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Santa Clara, Calif. and completion of a preventive medicine residency at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
Khan served as a public health service officer for over six years. She was a patient-aligned care team physician for the Veterans Administration Sierra Nevada Health Care System in Reno and served as a medical director for Kaiser Permanente in northern California.
