• Alejandro Vega Carrillo, 23, of Dayton, was arrested at Hillview and Clearview drives at about 4:30 p.m. on a felony charge of residential burglary, along with two juveniles. A witness reported two young men carrying items, suspected to be stolen, out of a vacant property. When the officer showed up with his emergency lights flashing, one of the burglars ran, though the officer stopped Carrillo. The second juvenile was found driving a beige car that the witness had reported as driving suspiciously up and down the street. Carrillo's bail was set at $25,000.

• Lindsay Ann Hammers, 23, of Carson City, was arrested at about 8:45 a.m. on charges of felony parole and probation violation, a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on traffic charges in Dayton, and a charge of cellphone use while driving.

Hammers was seen driving near the intersection of Gordonia and Siskiyou drives holding a cellphone to her ear, according to the arrest report. When she was pulled over, the failure-to-appear warrant was discovered, and a hold was placed on her, according to the arrest report. She was given no bail.

• Cheryl Bettencourt, 53, of Carson City, was arrested about 1 p.m. on charges of felony burglary and misdemeanor petit larceny.

She was arrested at the Wal-Mart in North Carson City after being detained by store security. Security told the arresting officer that Bettencourt had been seen placing unbought store items into Wal-Mart grocery bags. She then allegedly tried to leave the store, showing an old receipt as proof that she paid for the items. The total value of the items she allegedly attempted to steal was $100. Her bail was $25,250.

• A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. on charges of obstructing/resisting arrest and violating the conditions of alternative sentencing. An officer was sent to the man's apartment, near South Carson Meadow Drive and Como Street, on a report of the man trying to harm himself. He was found intoxicated in a closet that contains several firearms and with a hanger around his neck, according to the arrest report. He allegedly refused police commands and physically resisted them. He was stun-gunned twice, according to the report. He told officers he wanted to commit "suicide by cop," according to the report.
