Obituary: Charlene Rae Wendel

Charlene Rae Wendel was born on June 23, 1948 in Hawthorne, California and went to her Heavenly home on May 20, 2012.

Charlene was a caring, sensitive person who loved God, her family and her church family. She was a friend to all, loyal: forgiving, kind, and she loved unconditionally. She will be greatly missed; heaven is a richer place because she is there.

She is preceded in death by parents Ray Shepley and Buhl and Edna Countryman and brother Gary Countryman. She is survived by her daughters Chandra (Jeff) McCool of Reno, NV; daughter Charla (Bill) Riley of Carson City, NV, and grandson Jonathon Riley.

A celebration of her life will be held at First Christian Church 2211 Mouton Drive on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in memory of Charlene be made to First Christian Church and Carson City Animal Services.
