Barrick Gold reported last week that its Cortez Mine in Nevada produced 230,000 ounces of gold in the third quarter at a cost of $293 an ounce. The company said its Goldstrike Mine produced 350,000 ounces at a cost of $507 an ounce.
Barrick said it has more than 50 exploration rigs currently running in Nevada.
