Washoe Valley fire 50 percent contained

A brush fire fueled by high winds is 50 percent contained after burning 5 acres on the east side of Washoe Lake.

Crews on scene say the fire reportedly burnt 2 outbuildings.

The Lyon fire is currently burning near new Washoe City by Clark Drive.
