Matt Boisseau has begun serving as the deputy district ranger for the Ruby Mountains and Jarbidge Ranger Districts of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Wells.
Boisseau has 15 years of experience, including nine with the Forest Service in Arizona, Alaska and New Mexico.
He earned a bachelor's degree in recreation from Norwich University in Northfield, Vt., and a master's degree in landscape architecture from from Texas Tech University.
