Altair Nanotechnologies Inc. of Reno said last week it won a contract to provide a two-megawatt energy storage system at a solar project in Loiza, Puerto Rico.
The project is under development by a joint venture of Uriel Renewables Inc. and Coqui Power LLC, along with TSK Solar.
Altair will deliver the system by the end of this year. Terms weren't disclosed.
Altair plans to move its headquarters and manufacturing operations to Anderson, Ind., this year.
Control of the company was acquired in mid-2011 by a Chinese company, Canon Investment Holdings Ltd.
