Paul Vincent Webb, beloved husband of Eva May Webb (deceased) and father of Mary Bittner, Charles Webb (deceased), and Leslie Webb, passed away on September 29, 2012 at Sierra Place in Carson City, Nev. Paul was born in Norwalk, Iowa in 1923. During his life Paul enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, and especially card and board games with family and friends. In his younger years, Paul served his country in the Army Infantry Division during World War II in Italy rising to the rank of Sergeant before honorably discharged. He returned home to work as a truck driver for Caldwell & Hartung in Des Moines, Iowa. Paul and Eva moved from Ankeny, Iowa in 1956 to West Covina, Calif. to settle and raise their family. They relocated to Carson City fifteen years ago from Southern Calif. They immediately became active members of the community donating many volunteer hours to their church, the American Legion, and the local homeless shelter. Paul retired from his swimming pool service business prior to moving to Carson City. He was a charter member of the Independent Pool Service Association (IPSA) for many years. Paul led a Christian life and should be remembered for his strong sense of family devotion and loyalty to friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Eva; his son, Charles; his parents, Foster and Blanche Webb; and brother, Joseph Webb. He is survived by his sisters, Louise Silver and Jean Jennett; his two children; his grandchildren, Katie Jo and Max Webb; his son-in-law, Howard and daughter Elizabeth Bittner, Pamela; step-grandchildren, Rich and Lisa Flores; and great-grandchildren Joelle and Samantha Flores. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 212 North Division Street in Carson City, Nevada on October 20, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. In Paul’s spirit of Christian giving, the family asks that any memorials be given to either the Carson City First United Methodist Church, the Make a Wish Foundation or the American Legion Post #4.
