FREDERICK "BOMPA" PARKER departed this world on September 15, 2012. He was born on February 14, 1940 in Morristown, New Jersey. Fred joined the United States Army in August, 1963 where he served and was honorably discharged in July, 1969. He went into the field of electronics and worked as a TV repair technician in the bay area where he met his wife, Pauline. Fred and Pauline were married on August 10, 1966 and remained married until his passing. They moved to Carson City, Nevada in 1978 where Fred opened his own business "Fred's Discount TV". Later in his life he changed to construction enjoying working with his hands and finishing projects. He retired in 2009 to spend more time with his family and favorite pastime, fishing from his boat. He was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife Pauline; his children, Edward, Sandra, and Tricia, and his grandchildren, Theresa and Derrick.
Memorial services with military honor guard will be held at the Lone Mountain Cemetery on October 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life.
