A ribbon-cutting ceremony for a freeway landscaping project and a walking tour along a Carson City multi-use path are scheduled for 3-5 p.m. April 19.
The ceremony will be at the Northgate Lane Grade Separation, in the 3700 block of Northgate Lane, according to city Parks Planner Vern Krahn.
The 1.75-mile walking tour is slated to begin a half-hour later. It covers the path from the grade separation location to Carson City’s Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada clubhouse near Northridge Drive and Russell Way.
“This tour will provide the public with an opportunity to view and learn about the various landscape and aesthetic treatments along the multi-use path,” according to a flier about the event.
The flier said restrooms at the Boys & Girls Clubs location will be available for use at the conclusion of the walk, and vans will be there to transport people back to the grade separation.
