As fast as the state papers come to hand they join with one accord in denouncing the outrage perpetrated by the Board of Asylum Commissioners. The Enterprise, Virginia Chronicle, Reno Journal, Nevada Tribune, and Reno Gazette all universally condemn the Board’s action.

The introduction of the anti-alien land law in California has raised all kinds international attention. The Japanese government has filed its protest with the United States. President Wilson is reported saying that if the law is necessary, it should apply to all aliens equally, without discrimination.

President Roosevelt swing the 13-billion dollar second war loan drive off by personally selling bonds to the White House staff.

50 YEARS AGO

A bill designed as a substitute for two Lake Tahoe bi-state park measures was introduced today by six Assemblymen. The bill would establish a $500,000 fund for the purchase of Lake Tahoe park lands.

20 YEARS AGO

Tom LaLonde has donated time painting the soon-to-be first Boy’s and Girl’s Club at the old state Children’s Home.
