Missing girl may be in Reno

A 17-year-old Winnemucca girl who ran away from Rite of Passage on Oct. 6 is believed to be in the Reno-Sparks area.

Douglas County investigators have contacted the Center for Missing and Exploited Children in their search for Treasa Ramirez.

Ramirez last was seen in her bedroom at Rite of Passage, a facility that helps young people. Later, a bag was found that contained the clothing she was thought to have been wearing. Ramirez is 5 feet, 6 inches and 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
