Ryan Heit

Ryan Heit has joined Northern Nevada Medical Center, and Paula Schmidt has been promoted by the hospital.

Heit was hired as chief financial officer.

He most recently worked at The Camden Group, where he served as finance manager. He also worked as director of finance and controller at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.

Heit received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and he is pursuing his masters in business administration at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Schmidt was promoted to chief nursing officer.

She previously was the director of medical, surgical and telemetry units and has been with NNMC since January, 2012.

She also worked for Christus Spohn Hospital-Shoreline in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Schmidt earned her master's degree in nursing administration at Clarkson College in Omaha, Neb., and her bachelor's degree in nursing at Northern Michigan University in Marquette.
