Jane A. Nichols

Jane A. Nichols has been hired as interim vice president of academic affairs at Truckee Meadows Community College.

Nichols previously served as vice chancellor of academic and student affairs and as chancellor for academic and student affairs for the Nevada System of Higher Education.

She also was an associate dean for the College of Education at the University of Nevada, Reno, and associate professor in the department of social work.

Nichols earned a doctorate in higher education from the University of Tennessee, a master's degree in social work from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Southwestern at Memphis, (now Rhodes College).
