A Dayton man, who punched a deputy twice in the face, led deputies on a foot chase Thursday morning through back yards in the 1700 blocks of Fair Way and Empire Ranch Road, according to an arrest report from the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.Deputies followed a vehicle, registered to an address in Dayton, to the driveway of a house on Fair Way around 1:45 a.m. When deputies approached the vehicle, they found a 27-year-old woman in the front seat, with a bottle of vodka allegedly in her purse, according to the report. She was arrested on charges of obstructing and open container of alcohol with bail set at $594.Christopher Scholl, 26, then walked from the front gate of the house on Fair Way, told deputies he was lying about why he was there and pushed a deputy away from him. A struggle ensued, during which the deputy pulled the shirt off of Scholl. Scholl then punched the deputy twice in the face, knocking the glasses off of the deputy’s head and with enough force to bend the metal frames.Scholl allegedly used that chance to run away from deputies, into a back yard in the 1700 block of Fair Way. Scholl then began to jump fences, in an effort to avoid the sheriff’s office, according to the arrest report.Deputies located Scholl in the back yard of a house in the 1700 block of Empire Ranch Road. Scholl allegedly then began to struggle with another deputy, before he was tased and placed into restraints, according to the report.Scholl was charged with battery on a police officer, a felony with a bail of $30,000. Scholl also was arrested on a Parole and Probation warrant and held on a no-bail hold.
