Randy Buffington will join Allied Nevada Gold Corp. next week as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
In addition to managing all aspects of operations at the company's flagship Hycroft mine near Winnemucca, Buffington also will provide oversight to Allied Nevada's technical services, metallurgy, permitting, engineering and construction teams.
Buffington has more than 28 years of management, operations, engineering and construction experience. He most recently worked as senior vice president for Coeur d'Alene Mines Corp.
