I sent this by the gentleman in charge of the engineers who are coming to your town.” In another communication, Major Powell gives Natches a list: (abbreviated here): 60 arrows with stone arrow heads, 3 quivers, 25 bone fish hooks, 10 strings of bone beads, 25 Indian stone pipes, 5 head dress of feathers, 5 decoy ducks ...
