Health inspections

Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for July 18. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Food For Thought, Summer Food Program, 3246 N. Carson St., Suite 118, scored 100 points.

Starbucks Coffee Company, 3328 N. Carson St., Suite 15, scored 100 points.

Walmart Supercenter, Bakery Department, 3200 Market St., scored 100 points.

Walmart Supercenter, Produce Department, 3200 Market St., scored 100 points.

Salsa La Favorita, 402 E. William St., scored 98 points. Staff were handling ingredients with bare hands.

Kei Sushi, 3220 E. Highway 50, Suite 4, scored 95 points. Staff at the sushi bar were handling ready-to-eat foods with bare hands. Personal staff food items were not stored properly in the walk-in. The large bin in the kitchen used to store uncooked rice was not constructed of food-grade plastic. There was not a certified food handler on duty.
