Movies in the Park starts June 14

The eighth season of Movies in the Park will open at dusk June 14 at Heritage Park in Gardnerville with “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.”

Boy Scout Troop 411, the Carson Valley Lions Club, Douglas High Music Boosters and Lentine’s Italian Restaurant will supply movie treats and Bounzity will provide a bounce house. The next movie to be shown will be “Despicable Me” on July 5, followed by “Brave” on July 26 and “We Bought a Zoo” on Aug. 9. Moviegoers are invited to bring blankets, chairs, food and insect repellent.

This season’s sponsors are Bodywise Physical Therapy, Cash Advance.com, CLE Hospitality (Historian Inn), Mark Smith Tire Center, Les Schwab Tires, Market Café, Parigini Orthodontics and Studio Vogue.
