Grit will be lectured on tonight at the Methodist Church by Reverend Casebeen. As a local commentator upon this lecture informs us: “Mr. Casebeen has cut loose from the idea that too many irons may be put in the fire at the same time. This is “grit.”

Yesterday the Appeal compositors moved into their new quarters in the rear of the present office. The printers now have a bright, spacious composing room which is a marked contrast to the old smoke-grimed, quarters used by them for so many years.

An aeroplane, the machinery entirely new and invented by a Goldfield man and built in Goldfield, may be one of the features at the Fourth of July celebration in Goldfield. G.V. Johnson, the inventor, is now taking lessons in the guidance of an aeroplane while in the air.
