Alliteration: The Examiner has imported an alliteration fiend, who showed his hand as follows ... “Monumental Matrimonial Miseries of a Melancholy Musician.” For a headline like this in any other paper in the state but the Examiner, a man would be discharged without the benefit of clergy.

Kings Canyon Road: The Commissioners have decided to spend available money on repairs and making of a turnout on this famous auto route to Lake Tahoe. The first camp will be established at Swift’s Station, and it is figured the work will place the route in condition for early travel to Glenbrook ... Active work is to commence and will be good news to the autoists ...
