Eckankar, Religion of the Light and Sound of God, will sponsor “God’s Help in Every Trouble,” a worship service set for 10 a.m. Nov. 16 at the Carson City Community Center.
During the one-hour service, a facilitator will give a brief talk, followed by readings, small-group discussions and a short contemplation. Admission is free.

Gospel concert planned at Wesleyan church Tuesday
Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church, 1505 Railroad Drive, will host a free gospel concert by The Lefevre Quartet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The group consists of Mike LeFevre, baritone; Jordan LeFevre, lead; Brandon Barry, bass; and Harold Reed, tenor. Donations will be accepted to help the group with traveling costs.
