Séances: Phenomena have been witnessed in this city by a score of intelligent persons in attending the séances of the Roberts boy (Richard Roberts of the Foreman-Roberts House in Carson City). The forms he has produced have been seen and touched ... they were endowed with warmth, solidity of form and locomotion. They seemed recognizable by those present and disappearing as mysteriously as they came.

Gypsum: The first carload of gypsum, needed by the war effort, is to be shipped from Mound House. It left on the Virginia and Truckee railroad for an undisclosed destination in California. James Regan is sole owner of the deposit which is said to be a large one.
