The Seattle company that plans to develop 1.5 million square feet of distribution space in Spanish Springs says it’s negotiating with a potential tenant in its first 600,000-square-foot building.
A spokesman for Lake Washington Partners declined to identify the potential user for the space.
The company said it acquired 66 acres in Spanish Springs Business Center along the west side of Pyramid Highway about 10 miles north of Interstate 80. It plans to begin development of the 600,000-square-foot first building in 2014.
Kraig Beilharz of Cincinnati’s ATA-Beilharz Architects has been selected to design the project. No contractor has been selected, Lake Washington Partners said.
Jordan Lott, president of Lake Washington Partners, said the existence of power, gas, water, sewer and telephone service on the property will allow for fast-track development.
His company bought the property from Spanish Springs Limited Partnership. It’s part of a 511-acre master-planned development of Hawco Properties of Reno.
Among distribution companies already located in the Spanish Springs Business Center are electrical supplier Leviton and automotive aftermarket firm Parts Unlimited.
