A Carson City woman was arrested on felony attempted-kidnapping, attempted-home-invasion and battery with-intent-to-commit-mayhem charges Saturday night in the 100 block of College Parkway.

According to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office:

A woman called to report that her husband was in a fight with another woman.

A deputy found Laura Elizabeth Rees-Dauer, 23, trying to kick down the door to an apartment and arrested her. The woman who called the Sheriff’s Office said Rees-Dauer had rung her doorbell several times, then yelled profanities at her.

The woman’s husband then saw Rees-Dauer choking an elderly woman and hitting her in the face. She then reportedly flashed her breasts to multiple residents, then picked up a 5-year-old child and ran more than 50 yards to a flight of stairs. She reportedly fell when she tried to climb the stairs, and the child suffered a laceration to her lower back.

Rees-Dauer also was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure, child abuse/neglect/endangerment and contempt of court. Total bail was set at $100,500.
