Police seek 4 in Sparks beating, robbery

SPARKS — Sparks police are looking for four suspects in the beating and robbery of a man along a frontage road next to U.S. Interstate 80 in Sparks.

Police say the victim was attacked about 8:30 p.m. Sunday while walking back to his hotel from a nearby restaurant on East Nugget Avenue near East McCarran.

The victim originally refused a demand for money when the suspects approached him, but two of them then got out of the car and beat him and robbed him. He was hospitalized but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The four-door passenger car was described as a dark blue or black Honda.

The four suspects were described as Hispanic males in their mid-20s. One was about 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds, with a large build and clean-shaven head.
