A vision for economic development of the Carson Valley will be unveiled during the 19th annual Critical Issues Conference sponsored by the Business Council of Douglas County this week.
The conference runs from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden.
Douglas County Manager Steve Mokrohisky will outline economic development plans that have been under discussion for more than a year.
Key points will include enhanced quality of the downtowns of Douglas County communities, economic development than enhances current industry clusters and preservation of natural resources.
Other speakers during the conference will include Jim Rounds, senior vice president and senior economist with Elliott D. Pollack and Co., and state and local officials.
