Potential angel investors — people who make very stage investments in entrepreneurial companies — will learn about the potential rewards, the risks and the process of making smart investments during a Sept. 22 seminar in Reno.
The seminar, “Earn Your Angel Wings,” is sponsored by C4 CUBE, a business incubator in Reno, along with Northern Nevada Business Weekly.
It will feature four experts on early-stage investment.
“Potential investors often are surprised to learn they can help a startup company get off the ground for investments as small as $5,000 or $10,000,” says Ky Good, co-founder of C4 CUBE. “Angel investing brings the potential of attractive financial returns along with the satisfaction that the investor has helped create new employment opportunities.”
During the two-hour seminar, participants will learn the keys of the keys of angel investing — how to find and analyze suitable investments, structure transactions and plan their exit strategies.
Speakers at the seminar will include:
Denny Behm, a principal of Arsenal Venture Partners, a multi-stage venture capital firm based in Orlando, Fla.
Pete Menicucci, chairman of Reno Angels.
John Ricci, founder of US Angel Investors in San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
Norman Smith, managing director of C4CUBE and founder of nine successful startups.
The seminar is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. at The Peppermill. Cost is $89. For registration, see www.NNBW.com or contact kmullins@nnbw.biz.
