On Friday, Save Mart will match donations to benefit the Ron Wood Family Resource Center through its Holiday Give, Share, Care program, for a total matching grant of up to $5,000. Donations can be made at checkout through Jan. 2.

Reno Rodeo Denim Drive is collecting clothing for children in shelters and foster care through Dec. 17 at the following locations: Christensen Automotive, 1860 E William St. in Carson City and 1539 Highway 395 N. in Gardnerville; Mi Casa Too, 3809 N. Greater Nevada Credit Union is accepting new pairs of children’s shoes through Dec. 24 for the Salvation Army. Each donation results in three entries to win a winter shoe wardrobe. Go to gncu.org.

New and unwrapped toys, bicycles and warm clothing can be dropped at the Capitol, Governor’s Mansion, Attorney General’s office, Department of Motor Vehicles or the Supreme Court of Nevada by Dec. 16. Friends to All seeks names and addresses of seniors who would enjoy a visit from Santa on Saturday. Donations of cash, crossword puzzle books (large print, if possible), slipper socks, gloves, hats, scarves, handkerchiefs, lotions, lip balm, calendars, packaged small food items such as candy, cookies, or nuts, gift cards from grocery or gift stores, hair salons, barbershops, or restaurants that deliver, and anything a senior may be able to use, are needed. Cash donations are used to buy grocery store gift cards for seniors in need.

A food drive for Advocates to End Domestic Violence, Friends In Service Helping and Ron Wood Family Resource Center will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the Governor’s Mansion, 606 N. Mountain St. The drive also will take place at the Carson Valley Inn, 1627 Highway 395 in Minden.
