Murphy execution (continued from Sunday). Chief Lackey and eight or nine men will leave Virginia for Carson on Friday to attend the hanging of Murphy. As there are no facilities for the execution to take place privately, there will be a vast crowd present. We should suggest to Sheriff Swift to calling on the militia of Storey County. Already the execution is the main topic of conversation in saloons and streets. There are those who will walk from Virginia and Gold Hill to witness the event. A much larger crowd will be present than any person has any idea of at present. (Continued on Wednesday.)

Mrs. A.D. Treadway was buried yesterday afternoon. In spite of the bitter weather, there was a large concourse of mourners at the church and at the grave. The pallbearers were Judge Hawley, Judge Belknap, Judge Sabin, William Bryant, James Kennedy, H.S. Mason and S.P. Davis.
