Jeri and Alan Edwards are celebring their 55th year of marriage.
Jeri and Alan Edwards of Carson City are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary on Jan. 1.
The Edwards were married on New Year’s Day in 1960 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Chicago, Ill.
Alan is a retired chemist who worked in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, from 1980 to 1986. Jeri worked in customer service at AT&T.
The couple has five children, Mary Beth Kinney of Marietta, Ga.; Patricia Bennett of Seattle, Wash.; Sharon Edwards of Denver, Colo.; Mark Edwards of Lynwood, Wash; and Daniel Edwards of St. Louis, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Nadine Bennett and Christian Kinney.
The Edwards will celebrate with their children on Dec. 31 at The Basil.
