Death of Siamese twins: Chang and Eng, the flesh-connected twins from Siam, are dead. They died in North Carolina. These phenomenal twins found a brace of sisters who were willing to share their fortunes and their bed. They have had many children and lived happily with their wives. Chang died first, and Eng became so shocked that he raved wildly for a while and died two hours later. The wives and families of the twins are in the deepest grief. Their children, many of whom are deaf mutes, are expressing their sorrow in the most pitiful manner.

A wonderful statue: In San Francisco, a wonderful exhibition can be seen for ten cents. After a sufficient number of people have congregated, two curtains are drawn aside and the spectators behold, on a table, a bust statue of a woman, who appears to done in clay. The showman explains it is a figure carved from clay by a sculptor of Italy who wished the statue was alive. As he steps to one side, the statue undergoes a change and takes the color of a live woman, eyes open, chest heaves, and it becomes alive. Then he says the sculptor’s wife grew jealous and wished the living statute would return to clay ... and she does. Of course, it is a deception?

Anderson, Irvin Garrison, R. N. Gibson, Joseph Castle, Joe Stern, Joe Rochon, Jr., A Speaker, M. D Anderson and Dwight Dilts.
