There has been a good deal of dissatisfaction because no arrangements have been made to properly celebrate the national day of American independence. The Appeal has prepared a programme, which if carried out will give the citizens of Carson all the celebration they actually need. The procession will form at 8:30 a.m. with the head resting on King Street in front of Klein’s brewery, and the tail wound around the Capitol Building. It will then march in the following order: Grand Marshall — Aaron D. Treadway, mounted on his ranch horse, January. The Fourth of July falls in the middle of the week and will be observed on that day. It might mess up some workers’ plans to take off on the usual three-day weekend, but at least school children won’t forget the true dates in history. The parade will start at 11 a.m. from Curry to Carson Street and then north along Carson to Washington Street and end up in Mills Park.
