Holmstrom begins stint as BLM district manager

Don Holmstrom began a 120 day detail as the Bureau of Land Management’s Carson City District manager on June 30.

“I’m happy to be here and look forward to working with the public and BLM employees in managing the diverse resources found throughout the Carson City District,” Holmstrom said.

Holmstrom served as field manager for the Klamath Falls Resource Area, Lakeview BLM District for the last seven years. Prior to that, he worked as an Assistant Field Manager in two Northern California offices in Susanville and Arcata. He began his federal career with the Forest Service, working as a forester on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Northern Arizona.

Holmstrom has a bachelor’s in forestry from the University of Montana. He’s married and has two adult children.
