Startup companies in downtown Reno and job-seeking students from the University of Nevada, Reno, will get to know each other better during The Biggest Little Startup Fair next week.

The event, which is free and open to non-students as well, runs from 2-6 p.m. at West Street Market. A shuttle will bring students from campus to the downtown marketplace.

More than 20 companies are expected to participate in the event, which is sponsored by Reno’s Startup Row and UNR Tech Connect, a project of the interactive journalism graduate program at the Reynolds School of Journalism.

Startup Row is a band of entrepreneurial companies that have been established along First Street between Virginia and Washington streets.

Among them are inqiri, the developer of a decision-making platform; BHeard, a social-action platform for social media and Crazy Tooth Studio, a games developer.

Also participating in the fair will be companies from elsewhere in Reno such as literacy skills advisor Practickle and videogame developer Dorkatorium Games.
